Working with porcelain and ceramic has always been one of the more difficult tasks faced by dentists. With traditional diamond burs, work is slow and tedious, and the risk of fracturing the crown is always looming over the procedure, threatening to bring doctors back to square one. Micro- fractures also plague the modern dentist, compromising the integrity of completed crowns and bridges after their application.

A special new manufacturing method allows fast adjustments on all types PFM crowns, Ceramic and Zirconia crowns and bridges as well Procad® and Vita® ceramic crowns.

The Zirconia Burs Kit was designed in collaboration with leading dentists to include all of the burs necessary for adjustment procedure. A3PF and A4PF burs for adjusting the marginal ridge, a PR2PF Bur for adjusting the occlusal surface, a K2PF bur for adjusting the lingual surface. E5PF, PR15PF, E7PF burs for adjusting the margin, and a T2PF Bur for trimming excess material.

 
Alongside the kit, ruby offers three new burs for Zirconia based ceramic crown and bridge removal; the M3PF, C31PF and T2PF. These burs erase the problems associated with removing ceramic and Zirconia crowns and bridges, such as the Lava®, Procera®, InCeramTM, Empress® I, II, Vita®, and Procad®.
 
One of the most daunting tasks faced by endodontists and dentists is a root canal through Zirconia. ruby has solved this problem as well with the B4PF endo access bur, along with the A3PF and A4PF burs featured in the kit. These burs tunnel through the porcelain layer in seconds, and penetrate the Zirconia based crown or bridge with efficiency previously thought impossible.
